Ester Manas
Celebrating women and their beauty, regardless of their shape or size: this is the mission of Ester Manas. In the era of body positivity, and while the most influential luxury brands appear to be making (baby) steps towards inclusivity, the young Belgian designer is blazing a trail and showing them the way. Accompanied by her faithful sidekick Balthazar Delepierre, they have come up with a different take on fashion; one with no sizes but capable of flattering any silhouette. Ester Manas's approach uses lacing systems and ruffles to create playful volumes that tighten and loosen to fit. It’s a completely unprecedented technique, creating flexible and modular pieces capable of adapting to all shapes. It’s time to say goodbye to those lingering body hang-ups, and say hello to freedom and empowerment. This desire to design clothing for all women comes from a spirit of sisterhood so dear to the designer. Happy and fierce, the Ester Manas woman is so many things at once. She has no face, but a multitude of facets and personality traits. She likes to feel beautiful and sensual, and isn't afraid of colour. Ester Manas' approach is so innovative that it captivates and arouses emotion: from the pages of magazines to social media, she is acclaimed and applauded worldwide. The revolution is on. The growing popularity of Ester Manas has also meant the opportunity for powerful collaborations, like the one with the creative studio of the late Albert Elbaz, AZ Factory, and Ganni, who made crop tops for her last fashion show.
The Ester Manas label has a lot of love to share; a love that is expressed in particular through its logo: two intertwined hands that form a heart, a message of hope and tolerance. This compelling logo has also given rise to earrings and bags, which are inspired by its silhouette. There is also a rectangular mini-bag in embossed black, green or pink leather, a baguette bag with a heart-shaped edge, and the smaller and more playful 3D Picnic, a bioplastic bag made using the technological prowess that is 3D printing. Add a touch of love to your looks and treat yourself to an Ester Manas bag.
