Vivienne Westwood
Vivienne Westwood began designing clothes in 1971 with his partner at the time, Malcolm McLaren, in London. At the time, they used their shop at 430 Kings Road in London to showcase their ideas and designs. As their ideas about fashion evolved, they changed not only the name of the shop, but also its décor. It was in 1976 that Westwood and McLaren defined the street culture of punk with Seditionaries. The 2024 Bridal collection is an ode to affinity and what it means to the individual. Inspired by real people in Paris, the concept follows their intimate perspectives on the theme of companionship - in the climate of a radically changing social landscape. As a testament to the affinity they may find in another person, place or memory, each couture dress serves as an extension of their inner world; the values, confessions and desires that inhabit them.
