Rabanne
Fashion icon Rabanne needs no introduction. His use of metals and mirrors has unquestionably resulted in some of last century's most iconic dresses and bags, sparking a fashion revolution and inspiring generations of designers to come. Now under the artistic direction of Julien Dossena, the house is more dazzling than ever, combining originality with a fierce, feminine feel. The label's wealth of signature style codes have also been applied to its accessories. One of the main elements of Rabanne jewellery is its oversized links. Incorporated into necklaces, oversized bracelets and earrings, in gold-plated brass, silver or paved with rhinestones, the Rabanne XL Link is chunky, overtly feminine, and (naturally) ultra-bling. The pieces in the Eight collection are inspired by the metallic dresses imagined by its founder and subsequently reinvented by his successors. These signature ensembles are meticulously composed of small metal links, whose distinctive shape is reminiscent of the figure eight, making them the ideal pieces for true connoisseurs of the Rabanne style.
Bag-wise, Monnier Paris has chosen a selection of iconic designs. While the sequin-clad Sparkle bags evoke a glamorous disco aesthetic, whisking us away to Studio 54, the 1969 is better suited to a stylish stroll down the street. A symbol of Rabanne’s passion for innovation, the bag is as dazzling in technique as it is in beauty. The Pixel Tote is also metallic but shines in a different dress: chain mail. The perfect way to add an intrepid, heroic touch to all your outfits and looks, from the most daring to the most timid. The house's expertise has also been applied to other materials, too, like leather. Reinterpreting its signature techniques, usually reserved for its metallic designs, Rabanne has crafted handbags made up of leather links, like the Paco Wheel – available in a tote or shoulder bag form – as well as the Pacoio, reinvented with every season.
