Eytys
From the beginning of Eytys, founders Max Schiller and Jonathan Hirschfeld were determined to shake up the footwear industry. Based in Stockholm and founded in 2013, Eytys is all about unique and unexpected proportions, enhanced by contrasting materials, for the creation of unisex designs. Even today, this non-gendered take on footwear is quite rare, and shows the versatility of its pieces. Pieces that pay homage to the 1980s, its spirit of artistic experimentation, its streetwear and skateboarding culture. Eytys quickly stood out for its ambition to create the perfect sneaker, both androgynous and accessible, but original enough to make an impression. It's done. The originality of Eytys is also expressed through its purple tongue, a distinctive signature that can be found on the various shoes made by the brand.
One of Eytys' most iconic sneakers is the Odessa, whose design has been often imitated but never duplicated. With its notched and branded architectural sole, it is the ideal city shoe. Best worn with oversized designer jeans or elegant suit pants, depending on your schedule and plans. Another shoe you can't take your eyes off is the Sydney. While its retro look takes us straight back to the 1980s and 1990s, its lacing system and leather inserts have a resolutely modern feel. At Monnier Paris, we also love the Laguna, a more classic sneaker that stands out through its contrasting border on the top of its sole. Available in canvas or suede, it is suitable for all seasons. The vintage and daring aesthetic of Eytys is not only expressed in sneaker form. Bulky, military-style boots like the Ortega and the Michigan also make a powerful statement. So make Eytys shoes your go-to for a nostalgic yet contemporary style.
